Texas Hold’Em - Game Synopsis
Texas Hold’Em is a seven-card poker
game.
Before each game begins, the two
players sitting to the left of the
dealer, place what are known as
‘Blind’ bets. The first player
places the ‘small blind’ and the
second player places the ‘big
blind’. The blind amounts are set by
the tournament operators and rise at
pre-determined intervals throughout
the game. The purpose of the blind
bets is to commence the action.
Once the ‘blinds’ have been
submitted, dealing commences. After
each dealing stage (outlined below),
a round of betting takes place.
